Jake Rogers (played by Dean Cain), a Division I college football coach, uses a female placekicker as a publicity stunt.

When she misses a field goal, he makes offhand comments in the media about female athletes and soccer and gets suspended by the university and the NCAA.

In order to get his job back, he is suspended and sentenced to community service coaching a ragtag girls’ soccer team of 12 year olds–learning humility, teamwork, and personal growth along the way.
