The Defense of New Haven

In the 1970s, Greg Laurie and a sea of young people descend on sunny Southern California to redefine truth through all means of liberation. Inadvertently, Laurie meets a charismatic street preacher and a pastor who open the doors to a church to a stream of wandering youth.

When Lonnie gives Chuck a glimpse into the heart of a generation looking for love and meaning, his heart opens, and his small church becomes a sanctuary. What unfolds is an influential counterculture movement that even made the cover of TIME magazine.

DOVE FOUNDATION REVIEW: “Jesus Revolution is an amazing representation of what God can do through ordinary, flawed people. God wants to reach the world and hopefully this film will inspire many that they in turn can impact their own circles and communities. The visuals, the performances, the story, and the score all come together in a perfect blend to portray this part of American and Christian history in a memorable way.”
